Usha Menon is the Executive Chairman of Usha Menon Management Consultancy (Asia), an international training and consultancy that is shaping the world through social-impact organisations across Asia.

She is a keen observer and an active global participant of this sector for the past 25 years. Usha brings a wealth of multi-country experience, non-profit management expertise and insights on leadership, fundraising and philanthropy. Usha has a unique background in developing successful non-profit programme innovations as well as fundraising campaigns across Asia.

She is a celebrated speaker, connector and consultant on non-profit management, leadership, fundraising and philanthropy. She has presented, trained, inspired and consulted across the globe in over 30 countries.

Since 2009 her consultancy client list include INGOs, charities, think-tanks, UN entities, associations, social enterprises, foundations, philanthropists, capability building organisations, among others.

Previously, Usha has held leadership positions at Habitat for Humanity International as the Asia-Pacific Director for Regional Programmes and Resource Development covering 26 countries and at the National Council of Social Services in Singapore’s Community Chest

Her many volunteer appointments include serving as past-Chair of the International Board of the Resource Alliance, which she continues her involvement in various other capacities. She is also an active champion of the use of social media for community engagement by non-profits.

Usha has authored chapters on fundraising in Singapore and India in the AFP supported book titled ‘Global Fundraising: How the World is Changing the Rules of Philanthropy’. She has also authored the chapter on Indian Diaspora Giving in the book titled ‘Revealing Indian Philanthropy’ published by Alliance Publishing Trust (UK) and edited by the London School of Economics which will be published soon.

Usha is presently based in Singapore. Prior to Singapore, she lived in Indonesia and in India and speaks a range of South and South-east Asian languages in addition to English.

Mahatma Gandhi's “We must be the change we want in the world” is her guiding principle. She also believes that ‘no time’ is never a factor of time but that of intention. It is this passion that gives her the energy to be daughter, wife, mother of three, friend, mentor, trainer, volunteer, board member of charities and a successful social sector management consultant all in one.
